Madagascar Cupcakes

Let's say simply FUN!!!!  Madagascar is one of my favorites so when I was asked to bake these I had no problem, besides trying not to go over board.  Okay maybe I haven't mastered not going over board, but it was so much fun.  Seeing my dear friends face when she picked them up was worth it all!  It was so funny when she arrived to get them.  I wasn't thinking because when it was time for me to pack them that's when it all got tricky, lol.

Her son love's the penguin's so I had to make sure to highlight them  and make them pretty big cupcakes! Maybe I didn't have to but it was worth the effort.

After my children saw them I knew they were more than kid approved!! I made vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, with chocolate butter cream icing.  I coated them with brown sugar to give the dirt affect and them I had some cream cheese icing so I let that be the grass.  All of the toppers are edible, they are all candy...how's that for a party favor!  I am sure all the children will love it!

As a result, I ended up putting them in a cake box to savage them from not being destroyed  after all that work.

My Little Pony Cake Pops

Get ready to spring into a new season! These cake pops were made for a special friend and customer. Her daughter was turning 5 years old and was so delighted when she saw them. She knew right away, the unicorn was specifically for her.

The look on their face was priceless! The cake pop design is covered in light blue candy coat,  the top has a shining rainbow, through soft white clouds sitting on the inside is a rainbow surprise, which gave it an even more special twist!!!
Happy Birthday Alana!!!

Chanel Cake Purse

This is the first purse cake that I made. I used  an 8 in pan .  It was such  a delicious cake.  I  used my favorite decorating cream cheese icing, which shocked my family.  They thought it was fondant.  Oh course that made me feel great.  When it was time to cut this cake there were no hesitations at all.  It was 3 different layers Red Velvet, Key Lime and White Chocolate.  It was simply delicious.  And I must say I had much fun making it for me and my daughter!
So if you like purse cakes but don't like fondant I can make it with my decorating cream cheese icing with no problem!
All the accessories are made out of candy, as well as the cake handle.

The zipper was one of my most favorite highlights!

Basketball Cake & Cookies

I enjoyed making this cake for Upward Bound Basketball.  It was a first attempt, using my sphere pan and it came out pretty good.  I will have to make a tutorial of using the pan. I made the cookies also and the kids loved them. I made the fondant which is all so delicious, The color icing I used on the balls was copper, which I was most pleased with.

I had fun making these candy basketball hoops and of course so did all the children.
